오늘 서울시립미술관 세마홀에서 ‘2024 제4회 제주비엔날레 서울 기자간담회’가 열렸습니다.
이날 기자간담회에서는 제주비엔날레의 주요 출품작이 언론에 처음 공개됐는데요.
첫 번째 출품작품으로 인도네시아 작가 아구스 누르 아말(Agus Nur Amal)의 작품 영상을 선보였습니다.
아구스의 ‘트리탕투(Tritangtu 2022)’는 인도네시아 웨스트 자바 지역
전통 농경 공동체 마을의 우물을 중심으로 펼쳐지는 신비로운 이야기를 담은 영상 작품으로,
세계 최고 권위의 미술행사 카셀 도큐멘타15(Documenta fifteen 2022)를 통해
국제적으로 소개된 바 있습니다.
이번 2024 제4회 제주비엔날레에서는 제주의 신화와 전통,
특히 영등굿과 우물고사와 같은 제례와 접목한 사물극 퍼포먼스로
새롭게 재해석되어 선보일 예정입니다.
2024 제4회 제주비엔날레의 개막을 두 달 정도 앞두며 전시에 대한 기대감이 높아지고 있는데요.

Today, the '2024 4th Jeju Biennale Seoul Press Conference' was held at SeMA Hall, Seoul Museum of Art.
During the press conference, the major artworks to be showcased at the Jeju Biennale were revealed to the media for the first time. The first featured work was a video by Indonesian artist Agus Nur Amal.
Agus' work, Tritangtu (2022), is a video piece that captures a mystical story centered around a well in a traditional agricultural community in West Java, Indonesia. This work was previously introduced to an international audience at one of the world's most prestigious art events, Kassel Documenta fifteen (2022).
At the 2024 4th Jeju Biennale, this piece will be newly reinterpreted, blending Jeju’s mythology and traditions, especially rituals like Yeongdeunggut and Well Worship, into a unique object theater performance.
