The theme of the 2020 Jeju Biennale begins with the oral traditions, recorded materials, and observations of mainlanders regarding Jeju.

It focuses on the legend of "Seolmundae Halmang," the creative goddess of Jeju women.

Halmang, embodying endless stories, flexibility, and potential, is too big, too many, and too strong.

Therefore, the stories that once circulated within Jeju will spread beyond its borders.

Through the creative deity and artist that is "Halmang," the Jeju Biennale
