The two artists have garnered international attention for reinterpreting the Cu Chi Tunnels in Vietnam, used by the U.S. military for surprise attacks during the Vietnam War, as an underground city from a fresh perspective.

What kind of image of Jeju will emerge as they reinterpret the island’s layered memories, built upon a cultural heritage that bears the weight of a painful history?

The outcomes of their research trip will be unveiled at the 4th Jeju Biennale, opening on November 26.
