The two artists will stay in Jeju for two weeks, conducting a research trip as part of their project preparation.

They have gained international recognition by shedding new light on the Cu Chi Tunnels in Vietnam, originally used by U.S. forces for ambush tactics during the Vietnam War, and reinterpreting them as an underground city.

In Jeju, they are working on a similar project. During the lecture, they discussed how to reinterpret historical heritage artistically through research and shared their unique artistic perspectives.

It was an opportunity for students to experience the artists' research and working methods, broadening their own artistic viewpoints.

The results of the artists' research trip will be presented at the 2024 4th Jeju Biennale, which opens on November 26.
